Didn’t they support the Constitution before?

Dear Editor:

The recent actions by our County Commission remind me of a magician's deflection trick. They are all American citizens and elected officials; did they not support the Constitution before? Their action was nothing more than pandering to a segment of the population that is easily satisfied with meaningless gestures.

Could it be that Commissioner Joe Mullins is trying to shift the focus from his recent legal troubles and his participation in the recent insurrection in the Capitol?

And ironic how after the insults and infighting the other commissioners went right along with his deflection.

Too much traffic in Palm Coast

Dear Editor:

With all the new people, moving into Palm Coast, the number of cars seems to have doubled. During the day, from Florida Park Drive to Pine Lakes Parkway, Palm Coast Parkway turns into a parking lot.

Old Kings Road is a mess! This roadwork should have been done when they redid the shopping plaza.

Keep commercial vehicles out of driveways

Dear Editor:

Ed Danko hit the nail on the head in all his wonderful ideas! I must say the only thing I do not agree with is having commercial vehicles parked in the driveways. I wouldn’t want a plumbing outfit on one side of my house, an air conditioning business on the other side and an electrician’s truck across from me. So, I hope the restrictions stay as they are! Areas are already getting trashy because of all the housing and there is not enough code enforcers to keep up. It’s only going to get worse!

Swim Club already disrupts neighborhood

Dear Editor:

We live right behind the circle of Belle Terre Swim and Racquet Club. To say we have had problems already with noise and lights from cars at 6:30 a.m. to close to 11 p.m. would not be an exaggeration. Now they are considering selling to a place that wants to use the easement that borders ours and our neighbors’ properties, add another pool. Frequent buses and the drop in property values of tax paying citizens is not the news I wanted to read in your article.

I never could figure out why this business was located in the middle of a residential area. The thing we loved about Palm Coast is the fact they don’t do this. We now have a buffer of the easement at least.

Do any of the School Board members live next to the club? Would they want this in their backyard?
