Friday, May 31

Fifth-annual Summer Fun Festival

When: 5-8 p.m.

Where: The Pavilion at Port Orange, 5501 S. Williamson Blvd.

Details: An event hosted by Halifax Health where all local families and friends come together for a free fun filled evening for everyone to enjoy. There will be train rides, face painting, a photo booth, games, giveaways, prizes, refreshments and more.

Saturday, June 1

Angler’s Cove Launch Party

When: 1-3 p.m.

Where: Angler’s Cove, 3626 S. Peninsula Drive

Details: This gated waterfront community is hosting their launch party. There will be live music, a food truck and raffles. Parking will be under the Dunlawton Bridge and a shuttle service will be provided. Call 315-4820 or 290-0054.

Wednesday, June 5

Rec Rangers program

When: 5- 6:15 p.m.

Where: City Center, 1000 City Center Circle

Details: The Rec Rangers program is a free nature program for ages 7-14 aiming to foster connectivity to nature and participation of the parks and recreation resources in the community. Must pre-register. Visit port-orange.org/registration visit the Dorothy L. Hukill City Center Annex,  at1395 Dunlawton Avenue. Monday, June 10

Summer playground elementary program

When: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, until Aug. 2

Where: Silver Sands Middle School, 1300 Herbert St.

Details: Registration is now open and must be paid in full by June 7. Open to ages 5-11, with 5-year-olds already having completed kindergarten. Limited to 150 campers. Summer playground teen travel program

When: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, until Aug. 2

Where: Port Orange gymnasium, 4655 City Center Circle

Details: Registration is now open and must be paid in full by June 7. Campers will spend the majority of camp days on field trips, including visits to Andretti Park, Daytona Lagoon, the Marine Science Center, Deleon Springs and more. Trip schedule is subject to change. Saturday, June 15

33rd-annual Mayor’s Invitational Golf Tournament

When: 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Cypress Head Golf Course, 6231 Palm Vista St.

Details: The proceeds from this year's tournament will directly benefit the Port Orange Parks and Recreation youth scholarship fund. Continental breakfast, cart and green fees, range balls, Callaway Backpack, golf polo, two free drink tickets, door prizes and awards buffet luncheon will be provided for all participants. Second Annual Fun Run, Walk, and Roll - 2019 Child Abuse Awareness

When: 9 a.m.

Where: City Center Circle Complex, 1000 City Center
