Halifax Health graduates 19 young adults as part of Project SEARCH

The graduation marks the completion of a year-long program designed to equip young adults with the skills and experience needed to secure employment after high school.

Halifax Health graduated its latest Project SEARCH class on Tuesday, May 19.

The graduation marks the completion of a year-long program designed to equip young adults with the skills and experience needed to secure employment after high school, according to a press release.

This year, 19 graduates completed the program. The May 19 celebration featured remarks from leaders across Halifax Health and Volusia County Schools, who applauded the graduates for their commitment, growth, and perseverance throughout the program. 

"Through Project SEARCH and hands-on internships at Halifax Health Daytona, Port Orange, and Deltona, these young adults have gained the skills and confidence needed to step into competitive employment and greater independence," VCS stated on its Facebook page."

In the press release, Halifax Health said it is honored to continue its partnership with VCS for Project SEARCH.

"This collaboration plays a vital role in providing students with the guidance, resources, and real-world experience necessary for success," the press release states. "Together, the organizations have fostered an environment that encourages personal growth, confidence, and independence."
