A group of orthopedic surgeons at AdventHealth Palm Coast donated $1,750 to the Flagler Sheriff's Police Athletic League, according to a news release.
“The programs that benefit from this donation have a ripple effect in the community by impacting families and setting them on a positive track for their child’s future,” Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly said in a release. “This money contributes to building a positive relationship between law enforcement and children.”
Flagler Palm Coast girls basketball coach Javier Bevacqua will be hosting a basketball camp, Coach Bevacqua's Co-Ed Basketball Camp, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 3-7. The camp, which will be at FPC High School's gym, is open to kids from first to sixth grade. Sigh-ups are from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Teen Center, located at 5510 E. Moody Blvd. The cost is $70 per child ($10 off any additional siblings). Campers will receive a camp t-shirt, daily instruction on fundamentals, and awards and a certificate of completion. The kids will be divided based on age, grade and ability.
