Pathways Elementary fifth graders left it all on the track during the school's 10th-annual derby on Friday, May 24.
Students, parents and volunteers lined the school's car loop with flags, popcorn and shaved ice as the racers showed off their derby cars, decked out in patriotic, surf and animal themes. Following a parade, the fifth grade participants slid down a ramp to see how far their cars could drift, and later completed a timed race.
