Operating an unregistered vehicle. A 49-year-old man was arrested over his vehicle's tag after police discovered he had seven failures to appear in court, 15 prior misdemeanor arrests, seven prior felony arrests and three felony convictions. The man told the officer he just purchased the vehicle and had not had time to register it. His long list of past crimes rendered him ineligible for a notice to appear for the misdemeanor of operating an unregistered vehicle, according to the report.

Police asked the man if anything illegal was inside the vehicle, and the man advised he had a small baggy containing cannabis and a smoking pipe inside. The man was additionally charged with possession of cannabis under 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. The vehicle was towed and the man was transported to jail.
