Saturday, March 16

Charmettes luncheon

When: noon to 2 p.m.

Where: Willie Galimore Center, 399 Riberia St., St. Augustine

Cost: $10

Details: The St. Johns-Putnam-Flagler Co. Chapter of The Charmettes, Inc. will be hosting its annual Flossie W. Dixon "I Can Cope" luncheon, honoring a recipient from St. Johns, Putnam and Flagler Counties who is or has been coping with challenges in their lives. March 16-17

Palm Coast Seafood Festival

When: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday; noon to 5 p.m. Sunday

Where: Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave.

Cost: $5 adults; free for kids 12 and under

Details: The two-day festival will include seafood from vendors such as Cousin’s Main Lobster, Willy T’s Crab Shack, Island Time Foods, Laughing Crab Catering, Daytona Tortugas Shell’s Kitchen and Stoked Poke. Entertainment will include Southern Chaos, Psycho Magnets, Captain Nick, Nate McLaughlin, Verti-Fit Aerial Arts and Yoga and more. There will be a pirate village with a mermaid meet-and-greet and sword fighting. There will be a parade with Flagler County Sheriff’s Department on Saturday at 2 p.m. Parking is free. Ret. general to speak at Tiger Bay Club meeting

When: 11:30  a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Channel Side, 1 Yacht Club Drive

Cost: $15 for club member

Genealogy Society meeting

When: 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Details: The society's March meeting will feature a presentation by Annette Burke Lyttle titled, “Chasing Uncle William through the Wilds of Cyberspace.”

 

Purim celebration

When: 6 p.m.

Where: Temple Beth Shalom, 40 Wellington Drive

Cost: Free

Purim in Israel

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE

When: 5:30 p.m.

Cost: Free

Details: The festival of Purim is celebrated every year on the 14th of the Hebrew month of Adar. It is observed by public readings of the Megillah, or Scroll of Esther, to recount the story of the Purim miracle, sending food gifts to friends, giving gifts of money to the poor and enjoying a festive Purim meal.

Suicide awareness and prevention seminar

When: 9 a.m. to noon

Where: Palm Coast Bible Church, 94 Whiteview Parkway

Cost: Free

Details: Suicide Awareness and Prevention panel discussion, seminar and Q&A time, featuring speakers from Flagler LifeLine, Flagler County Sheriff’s Department, Flagler County Schools, licensed counselors and local clergy. Monday, March 25

City stormwater meetings

When: meeting at 2 pm. and 6 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE

Cost: Free

Details: The city of Palm Coast will provide information on its new stormwater drainage management plan at a pair of public outreach meetings. City staff will share details about the plan now under way, explain the new approach being taken and discuss immediate priorities for improving the drainage system.
