About 160 people embraced the spirit of New Orleans with green, gold and purple attire at the Grand Haven Golf Club for the 16th-annual Mardi Gras Casino Night on Tuesday, March 5.
Education Foundation Executive Director Joe Rizzo said the event raised about $21,000, which will go back into the foundation's community partners, through efforts like teacher grants, Take Stock in Children, the STUFF bus, the Josh Crews Writing Project and flagship programs in schools.
Tickets were $100 per person and included dinner, casino tables, slot machines, prizes and chips to start the casino night of fun reminiscent of a walk down Bourbon Street.
