Details: This is a two-day class needed to obtain a state operator's ID and apply for a possible insurance discount. Next class will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 22. Presented by the Daytona Beach Sail and Power Squadron, the cost for the class is $39.40 per student. Couples can share materials with a 50% discount for the student. Details: Join Claire Sadowniczak of the Racing Fingers Quilt Guild as she presents a more modern approach to the "crazed" and asymmetrical designs inspired by the Japanese Exhibit of the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial Exposition. Free workshop. Open to the public. Bring hand sewing implements or sewing machine, straight edge, fabric markers, scraps of fabric and commercial trims and a piece of muslin the size and shape of desired quilt block, including seam allowances.
