9:33 p.m. — Intersection of Nova Road and Herbert Street
Driving while license suspended. A 23-year-old man was pulled over for his front tires being over the white stop bar at a red light causing him to be partially in the crosswalk. He was later arrested; eight prior suspensions were found during a name check, according to the report.
The vehicle was released to its registered owner and the man was taken to jail.
9:00 a.m. — 3600 Block of Nova Road
Trespassing. A 54-year-old man was found walking along the property line of a local gas station where he was arrested and trespassed from three times prior. He was arrested and taken to jail, again.
When asked why he was on on the property and sidewalk, the man told police he was behind it, then admitted he walked across the grassy area belonging to the gas station, according to the report.
The gas station clerk signed an intent to prosecute and told police he is constantly on the property. The man was arrested and taken to jail.
10:53 p.m. — 5400 Block of Ridgewood Avenue
Petit theft, second offense. While an officer was on routine patrol, he found a man pushing a yellow shopping cart in the rain, according to a police report. A criminal check found a prior conviction for theft in 2008.
The 55-year-old man initially told police a cashier gave him permission to take the shopping cart. He was asked to push the shopping cart back to the store, and the officer was told the man had no permission to take the cart from the property.
The man was arrested and taken to jail due to multiple failure to appears in his criminal history report.
1:46 a.m. — 100 Block of Moonstone Court
Trespassing. A 51-year old-woman was allowed to sleep on the front porch of a townhouse earlier in the day as she was impaired, according to a report. The woman continued to bother residents, eventually breaking a table. She was later trespassed from the property and arrested.
While the officer was on the property the resident had asked the woman to leave and she continued to hang around. The officer asked her to get her things together and leave the area immediately, but she continued to hang around, even with an understanding that she would be arrested, according to the report.
The woman continued to stay on the property. She was arrested and taken to jail.
