Just a couple

DUI. Police pulled over, and later arrested, a 49-year-old woman who was driving without her headlights in the dark. She told the officer that she believed one of her headlights was working, and admitted to drinking two beers, according to the report.

After she handed the officer her driver's license, she continued to look through the items in her wallet. When the reporting officer asked what she was looking for, she told him her driver’s license. The officer showed the woman he already had it.

The reporting officer then asked for her registration and insurance card, to which the woman handed the officer an envelope from the glove compartment. When the woman was asked to retrieve the items herself, she pulled several pieces of paper from the envelope and fumbled through them, passing the registration several times, according to the report.

The woman admitted she was at the tavern down the road and had a “couple” drinks. As she spoke, the officer could smell alcohol on her breath and noticed she had slow and slurred speech as well as bloodshot watery eyes and droopy eyelids. After she failed a series of field sobriety tests, the woman was ultimately issued a citation for the DUI and traffic violation.

Not dealing, but if you need it...

Drugs. A 27-year-old man told police after his arrest that, while he had sold marijuana in the past, he wasn't currently in the business. However, the man also said that if the police knew someone who needed it, they can come and pick it up from him. He said he just doesn't take money for it, according to the report.

The man had been pulled over due to an obstructed view of his vehicle's tag. The officer noted he could smell marijuana coming from the car, and the man admitted to having around one ounce of weed inside. He also told the officer that he smokes a quarter ounce a day. During a search, police found a bag labeled "Sour Skittles" with green plant material inside, weed brownies, five plastic bags that "appeared to be ready to package drugs" and other drugs and paraphernalia, according to the report.

During questioning, the man was profusely sweating and seemed to be speaking very quickly. He also appeared jittery and nervous, according to the report. He was taken to jail.
