The Flagler County Sheriff's Department arrested Charles Porter, of Port Orange, on Sept. 8 on charges of assaulting a woman and her son for a collectible Funko POP figurine.

Flagler County deputies responded to calls of an altercation outside a Target in Palm Coast. When they arrived, they spoke to Sandra Montgomery, who was in the store with her son, Paul Roth, to purchase a Funko Pop "Twinkie the Kid" figurine with a specific "chase" sticker on the packaging. It is worth about $10 at the store, but about $150 if sold online, according to the arrest report.

Montgomery told deputies she walked to the toy department and asked an employee is she could take a figurine she found on a pallet. She purchased the figurine and walked to her car to wait for her son, who was still in the store paying for his items.

Roth told deputies Porter stalked in him the store, yelled at him about the figurine Montgomery purchased and punched him on the back of the head. When Montgomery pulled up in the her car, Porter pushed Roth out of the way and "'bolted" across the passenger seat to damage and grab the figurine, and he punched Montgomery on the cheek.

Montgomery said she tried to grab him by the shirt and pants as he ran away, but he pushed her. Porter got into a car and drove away, but returned when deputies were questioning witnesses.

He confessed to diving into the car and damaging the figurine. He said he arrived at the store at 7 a.m. to purchase the figurine, and he was upset about how Montgomery purchased it.

Porter was arrested on charges of burglary of an occupied car and two accounts of battery and criminal mischief.
