Firehouse Subs is opening a station in Port Orange. Its opening date is to be determined.

The Jacksonville-based hoagie shop, styled after a fire station, specializes in hot or cold subs made with the customer's choice of meats, cheeses and an assortment of toppings. A variety of salads are also on the menu.

Its new location at 1765 Dunlawton Ave., Ste. 102, will also offer online ordering and catering.

The restaurant chain also gives back to its community. A portion of every purchase goes toward the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which has granted more than $35 million to purchase equipment, provide training and support first responders in communities around the nation.
