A driver was killed in a single-car crash on Interstate 95 in Flagler County early the morning of June 25 after the car struck a guardrail and overturned multiple times.

The identity of the driver has not been released by the Florida Highway Patrol, pending notification of next of kin, according to an FHP news release.

The driver was heading south on I-95 south of State Road 100 when the driver lost control of the car "for an unknown reason," causing the 2002 Honda Civic to veer into the median and strike the median guardrail, then overturn into the grass, according to the news release.

The driver died at the scene of the crash and was the only one in the car when it happened. The FHP is seeking witnesses, and has asked anyone who saw the crash occur to call 904-301-3700.
