'It does not matter what is under the tree, but who is around the tree': Port Orange celebrates holidays with tree-lighting ceremony

City of Port Orange hosted the event Dec. 2.

The Port Orange City Center hosted a concert and tree-lighting ceremony Dec 2. The Commonwealth Christian Academy performed in front of a full amphitheater, and Vice Mayor Bob Ford of the River District reminded everyone about the true meaning of Christmas: "It does not matter what is under the tree but who is around the tree."
