Police are searching for a man who robbed the Walmart in Ormond Beach Thursday morning.

According to Ormond Beach Police Department Public Information Officer Keith Walker, the suspect was walking around inside Walmart, located at 1521 W. Granada Blvd., for some time. He then waited around customer service until the area was clear of customers and pointed a weapon at the clerks. The Observer previously reported that the suspect shoplifted a BB gun, but now police are unsure if the weapon was a BB gun or an actual firearm.

After robbing the store, he left through the main entrance and followed a woman to her car. He pointed his weapon at her and told her to give him the keys or she was going to get hurt. The woman gave him her keys and he fled in the vehicle.

A BB gun box was found empty in the Electronics Department, and is the same style as the one used, however the suspect  may in fact  have a real firearm.

No one was injured. Police are still searching for the suspect.
