Students of Portuguese heritage receive scholarships

On May 15, 2016 the 10th anniversary of the Antonio Amaral Foundation. On that day, 17 scholarships, totaling $30,000, were awarded to students of Portuguese heritage.

The 17 students scholarship winners were: Brandon Jose, Kiara Ferreira, Noelle Schneider, Tristan Meister, Ashley Carvalho, Kevin Cruz, Sky Goncalves, Tanya Cruz, Emily Dias, Hannah Ferreira, Jennifer Almeida, Jordin Castanheira, Leana Lourenco, Marco Branquinho, Mário dos Santos, Nicole Couceiro, and Mario dos Santos.

During the past 10 years the Foundation has given $207,000 in scholarships, and more than $52,000 to other causes, including, Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets, to families in need.
