What began as a dream to “touch a real palm tree” for a little Polish girl has now blossomed into a lifelong career and lifestyle for world renowned dancer Magdalena Ivanov. While she has put aside her competitive dance shoes, or heels, Ivanov wants Palm Coasters to pick theirs up for opportunities that dance has afforded her and her dance partner, Alexander Ivanov’s, at their new Arthur Murray Dance Studio, one of 260 worldwide, located at 160 Cypress Point Parkway, Suite A214.
“For couples, this could reunite them again, bringing their romance back. Usually couples don’t hold each other for 45 minutes during the week; this is the place will.”
While instructing in New York and Jacksonville, the Ivanovs felt they were only one among many dance studios. After researching the area, they believed they could make an impact here in Palm Coast.
“We wanted to move to a place where we could add value,” Magdalena Ivanov said. “Palm Coast seems to be family-oriented, and it’s small like the town I grew up in, in Poland.”
With their new dance studio, the Ivanovs hold classes for couples, singles and social dance parties in various areas of ballroom dancing.

Just as dancing has allotted the Ivanovs to tour Europe and other parts of the word, gain social and personal skills, and allow them to move to America, the Ivanovs believe dance can change many other lives, right here in Flagler County.
The Arthur Murray Dance Studio will be hosting a grand opening at 4 p.m.. Thursday, May 26, at its location at 160
