Come take a dip!

The Ormond Beach Family YMCA pool is officially reopen. After undergoing a major renovation, the pool opened at noon July 17. Prior to the renovation that began in January, the pool held 369,000 gallons of water with eight 25-yard short course lands and eight 50-meter long course lanes. Now the pool has increased to 416,002 gallons of water with twenty-two, 25-yard short lanes and ten 50-meter long course lanes. This is the first renovation the pool has received since the Ormond Beach Family YMCA opened its doors in 1989.

Pool hours listed below are in effect from July 18, through  Aug. 2. Beginning Aug.3, the pool will open at 5:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Sunday 1 to 4:30 p.m.
  • Monday through Thursday 5:45 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Friday 5:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Ormond Beach Family Y is open to the public daily with the purchase of a $10 guest pass which gives you access to the entire facility. The Ormond Beach Family Y pool is also open to the public for community swim every Saturday from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. The cost is $3 per adult, $2 per child under the age of 18, and $5 for a family. In addition, the Ormond Beach Family Y will host a free community swim day from 1 to 4:30 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month.

The City of Ormond Beach has partnered with the Ormond Beach Family YMCA to offer Safety Around Water classes to all rising first graders who are residents of Ormond Beach.  For more information on this and all of the swim programs and lessons at the YMCA, please visit www.vfymca.org.
