Rain clouds blocked out the sun as parade floats made their way through the streets of Flagler Beach on Saturday, Dec. 6. Due to the rain Santa decided to take a ride on a Flagler Beach fire engine instead of following the tradition of parachuting onto the sand just north of the pier.
Starting at N. Sixth St., the parade went on as planned. Children laughed, waved to Santa and received candy, unmindful of the rain. Different parade floats held performances to impress the judges at the intersection of A1A and Highway 100,, for a chance to win a trophy for Best of Parade.
