Citizens with information are asked to call police.

Ormond Beach Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Tropic Sun Towers, 591 S. Atlantic Ave., at about 1:20 a.m. on Nov. 17. The night clerk stated that the suspect entered through the front door, produced a handgun and demanded money from the cash drawer.

After receiving the money, the suspect hit the clerk in the head and demanded his wallet and cell phone. The suspect pulled the phone cord from the wall and made the clerk lie down before leaving. The clerk said he went to the Circle K convenience store to call the police.

Police searched the area but could not locate the suspect. He is described as a white male, five feet, six to eight inches tall, with a medium build and wearing black pants, a long sleeve black shirt with white lettering on the front and a dark colored bandana covering his face. The investigation is continuing.
