Ormond Beach artists will have a different way to showcase their talents this weekend at the first ever “Paint Out in Nature” event at Tomoka State Park.

The event is sponsored by the Florida Women’s Art Association and will happen at the park on both Jan. 18 and 19. Aggie Armstrong, park services specialist, said that some of the artists have never done a paint-out before, so there will be a demonstration.

“It’s going to be new for a lot of people,” Armstrong said. “Not only is it going to showcase the beauty of the park, it’s just going to be fabulous that we are going to have artists here.”

There is a fee for artists to reserve their spots. Artists interested in registering should call 677-0497.
