STUFF Bus installs school supply closet
As the need continues to be great, STUFF Bus volunteer Scott Combs has installed a school supply closet in each of the elementary and middle schools. The closet includes school supplies and a small supply of shoes, socks and underwear.

“Now guidance counselors can go to the closet and get what they need for a student,” wrote Flagler County Education Foundation Director Deborah Williams. “As items are used from the closet, a list is sent to Scott and Pat Bueltman so closet can be restocked. The new plan is more efficient saving gas, volunteer time and wear and tear on our aging bus. Scott and Pat are amazing volunteers who work as if managing the STUFF bus was a full time, paid position.”

To help with the STUFF Bus distribution, the Sew & Quilt Club sewed 150 cloth bags to hold toiletry items that are distributed to children in need of personal hygiene items like toothpaste, hair brushes, deodorant and soap. In addition to students who are on free and reduced lunch, the STUFF Bus serves children who are homeless and/or in transition.
