Over 10,000 people came from all over Volusia and Flagler County to the Ormond Beach Celtic Festival April 25-27.
Clans from near and far came to Ormond Beach Saturday and Sunday for the 4th annual Celtic Festival.
Over 10,000 people gathered at Rockefeller Gardens to celebrate all things Celtic. The three-day festival included whiskey tasting, live music, archery, axe throwing and a dog parade. Great dane mix Lucy was crowned the winner in her adorable kilt she matched with her owner Bonnie Beall.
Clan Campbell, the honored clan for 2014, led the annual parade with the Rosie O’Grady’s Highlander Band. Clan Stewart was announced as 2015’s honored clan.
“Most of them love the idea that we have the opportunity to feature all these great musicians.” Executive director for Ormond MainStreet, host of the event, Julia Truilo said. “80 percent of them live within 100 miles. I think that event reflects some of the community’s heritage.”
