PCUMC holds second-annual SundayServe

The congregation of Palm Coast United Methodist Church will join other Methodist churches Sept. 29, as hundreds of members spread out in their communities in an attitude of service and outreach.

The second annual SundayServe will take place 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday morning includes service projects such as reading to residents at Windsor House and Sterling House, handing out groceries for needy families at the Bunnell Food Resource Center, clean-up at the Palm Coast UMC north property, creating supply bags for the local women’s shelter, and participating in a prayer service at the church.
Community residents are welcome to join in this service project. Contact the Palm Coast United Methodist Church, 5200 Belle Terre Parkway at 445-1600.
 

Ladies Club now accepting donations
The Ladies Club of Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church will begin accepting donations for the Fall Rummage Sale starting 9 a.m. to noon Mon. Sept. 16 through Sept. 27, at the Parish Hall.

No VCRs, VHS tapes, TVs, computers, stuffed animals or Christmas trees will be accepted.
 

First Church presents Linda Gray Kelley
The First Church of Palm Coast will host Linda Gray Kelley in “A Lady Alone” 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.
The story is about Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman in the U.S. to earn a medical degree, and who loses an eye to gonorrhea after choosing a celibate life. It’s about modern medicine, civil war medicine, the discovery of ether, and venereal disease in the military.

An international performer/playwright, Kelley produces, directs, and gives a voice to her characters with the human condition exposed. The show is complete with costuming and props.

Ticket prices are $15 and can be purchased at the door or by calling 446-5759.
