FPC students earns volunteer service award
Flagler Palm Coast High School student Alexander Starovoitov has been honored for his exemplary volunteer service with a President’s Volunteer Service Award, at the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program.

The award recognizes Americans of all ages who have volunteered a significant amount of their time to serve their communities and country.

Starovoitov earned his award because of his many hours of community service involvement, one of them being vice president of the Junior Medical Reserve Corp.

“The Junior Medical Reserve Corp has taught me that by simply reaching out a hand to help others in distress and with a little extra effort, one can make the world an immensely better place,” Starovoitov said. “A simple act of kindness has the most profound effect.”
