The city of Flagler Beach has taken back its Fabulous Fourth Festival for the return of a three-day celebration set Thursday, July 4 through Saturday, July 6. The celebrations will get a running start with a 7 a.m. Celebrate 5K on the 4th. To register for the race, visit redpointerracing.com. Day-of registration is also available.

The Fabulous Fourth Parade will follow at 10 a.m. It’s not too late to register a float, visit Flaglerbeachrotary.org. Other festival events needing registration to participate in is the Tiny Tiki and Little Kahuna stage event for children ages 3-5 and the Corn Hole Tournament set for July 6; register for both at cityofflaglerbeach.com.
 

European Village: Under the Tuscan Sun
The European Village will host a weekend of art dubbed Under the Tuscan Sun Festival. The festival, noon to 8 p.m. Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29, will feature local artists and musicians. Painter, sculptors, photographers , jewelers, silversmiths and potters will showcase their talents in the courtyard at 101 Palm Harbor Parkway.

Jesse Maxey Jr., 74, of Palm Coast, won a $500,000 Mega Money jackpot. He purchased the "quick pick" ticket at the Publix in Flagler Beach.

Kathryn Amsbaugh, of Palm Coast, graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Texas State University.

All city of Palm Coast offices will be closed Thursday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday. Offices will re-open on Friday, July 5, at 8 a.m. Recycling and garbage collection will proceed according to the regular schedule.
