Bill and Sally McGill, of Palm Coast, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 12.

The lovebirds met in 1949, while Bill was attending Washington-Lee High School, in Arlington, Va., and Sally at St. Mary’s Academy, in Alexandria, Va. They married in 1952, at St. Clement Episcopal Church in Alexandria.

They moved to Palm Coast in 1999, after spending 28 years in Miami Lakes.

The McGills have three daughters, Deborah Marinello, Jackie McHaffie and Molly Meyerholz; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Bill is a freelance electrical engineer. He has held many high ranking jobs at large corporations throughout his career. He also taught mathematics for 10 years, at the University of Virginia.

Sally was the chief financial officer for Pass Printing Inc., in Miami. She was there for 15 years.

The two are members of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
