The Flagler Palm Coast wrestling team continued its early season dominance on Wednesday, defeating five different schools en route to the Flagler Duals title.

In the process, the Bulldogs knocked off Pedro Menendez, Palatka, Celebration, Pasco and Lowndes (Georgia).

Flagler Palm Coast also had eight wrestlers go undefeated throughout the tournament, including Jake Kosachiner, who improved to 9-0 this season in the 120-pound weight class. Jeremy Urban (106 pounds), Alfred Shavers (113) and Zach Ford (132) are all 9-1 this season.

“We wrestled real well and are off to a great start this year,” first-year coach Tom Bartolotta said after the meet.

As a team, FPC is now 5-0, including wins in the preseason class, the Titan City Clash (varsity and JV) and the Flagler Duals (varsity and JV).

FPC’s JV team also went undefeated in the tournament for the win.

Matanzas brought its JV squad to the meet, which featured 14 wrestlers. Brandon Autry (160 pounds), Nick Holifield (170), Joe Connoly (182) and Jordin Castanheira (195) all remain undefeated this season for the Pirates. All four have also won every match via the pin.
