The Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates hosted an interactive discussion for home-based businesses May 22, in the Flagler Room at 20 Airport Road.

Featuring presentations from local business-supporting organizations SCORE, the Palm Coast Business Assistance Center and the Center for Business Excellence, the meeting was meant to give home-based entrepreneurs an opportunity to share experiences with others, brainstorm and network.

+ The Home Depot hosts free hurricane-readiness seminar
A Hurricane Ready Day was held Saturday, May 19, at The Home Depot, with experts available to offer advice on how to prepare for hurricane season.

Flagler County Emergency Services, Palm Coast Fire Department, the Red Cross, Florida Power and Light, the Humane Society and others took part in the seminar, to offer tips and demonstrations.

+ ‘Try before you buy’: AT&T opens in Town Center
A grand opening for the new AT&T store, at 5180 State Road 100, took place Saturday, May 12, with partners Beach 92.7 and McDonald’s.

The 4,518-square-foot facility features hands-on experience tables for “try before you buy” service.

“This new store gives customers the opportunity to test drive all our products and services under one roof,” said Rich Guidotti, vice president and general manager, AT&T Mobility & Consumer Markets for Central and North Florida.

The store is managed by Lydia Greear and staffed by 10 employees.
