Throughout the month of February, Flagler County business owners will have the chance to take training sessions, sponsored by a sampling of city and county agencies, on a range of business topics and practices.
The topics of study are as follows:
• Developing Your Marketing Strategy, Including Social Media — Learn the importance of developing a marketing strategy, brand development and the role social media plays in executing your strategy. 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Coquina City Hall, 200 S. Church St. in Bunnell. Fee: $35, includes box lunch.
• Managing Cash Flow to Improve Profit — Understand why your cash heads south just as your sales are headed north. 7 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21,. at 160 Cypress Point Parkway / 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce on SR100. Fee: $25, includes coffee/bagel/muffin.
• Getting a Grip on Your Business — A two-week, four-hour seminar designed to help you improve, grow and advance to the next business level. 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 160 Cypress Point Parkway. Fee: $50, includes training materials.
• Understanding the Lending Process — Learn the five C’s of credit essential to achieving a loan. 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 160 Cypress Point Parkway. Fee: $15.
• Meet with the Business Community — To informally discuss and better understand issues that Flagler County businesses face. Learn how the Palm Coast Business Assistance Center can help. 8 a.m. Wednesday, February 8, at the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce; Wednesday, February 15, at 105 S. Second St. in Flagler Beach; and Friday, Feb. 24, at Coquina City Hall, 200 S. Church St. in Bunnell. Fee: free.
Monthly classes for this new local Business Success Series are sponsored by the Center for Business Excellence, the Palm Coast Business Assistance Center, the Small Business Development Center at the University of Central Florida, the city of Flagler Beach, the city of Bunnell, SCORE and the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates.
