+ Red Lobster buys dinner for technology students
The school district’s third-annual Digital Media Awards were held Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the Flagler Auditorium. But before the ceremony, some of the student nominees were treated to free seafood dinners.

At the request of Bunnell Elementary second-grade teacher Abra Seay, Red Lobster picked up the check for Seay, another staff member and six students before the show. “The manager and waiters were wonderful and made the night really special for the kids,” Seay said.

Wadsworth Elementary School teacher Ellen Sperber was chosen as the technology department’s teacher of the year and won $1,000 worth of new electronics for her classroom.
