Registration now open for Potato Princess pageant

Signups are now underway for the fourth-annual Potato Pageant, a signature event during Bunnell’s Potato Festival. Scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at the old Bunnell City Hall, the festival is hosted by Bunnell, Bunnell’s Community Redevelopment Agency and the Bunnell Chamber of Commerce.

Children 1 to 10 years old are encouraged to enter the pageant in the following age categories:

Tater Tot (ages 1-3)
Potato Princess (ages 4-7)
and Miss Potato (ages 8-10).

The entry fee is $10 per child, which includes a participation award and gift bag. First-place winners in the Potato Princess and Miss Potato categories will also receive a trophy, sash, tiara and $50 gift card. Prizes have been provided by several local sponsors, including the Sew & Quilt Shop, Nature Scapes Garden Center, High Jackers and Edible Arrangements.

Applications and entry forms are available at the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates building on Airport Road.

The deadline for registration is 5 p.m. Friday, May 11.
