The fifth-annual Turtle Fest will take place 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Veteran's Park, Flagler Beach.

Turlte Fest is put on by the Volusia/Flagler Turtle Patrol as its main fundraiser each year. There will be seaturtle exhibits, fresh water turtle exhibits, tortoise races, music, food, raffle and various venders.

The event is free and open to the public.

Other events happening this weekend are:

Rock ‘N’ Rib Fest — 5-11 p.m. Friday, April 13, and noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Central Park in Town Center. Come enjoy a free showing of the movie “Footloose” Friday at dusk, followed by a day full of barbeque, live music, swimming and racing pigs, live falcon demonstrations, Lil Rock Zone carnival and vendors. Little River Band will play at dusk Saturday. Admission is $20 ($10 discount coupons offered at sponsoring local businesses); kids under 12 get in free. ‘Once On This Island’ — 7 p.m. Friday, April 13, and Saturday, April 14, at the Matanzas Theater, 3535 Old Kings Road N. A play about love and death that integrates the dance, music, and chorus departments with the drama program. Student preview (Thursday) is $3 with student ID, $5 without. ‘Fiddler on the Roof' — 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays, April 13-29, at the Flagler Playhouse. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students. For the preview stroy, click here.
 

‘Bucket Full O’ Fun’ Fishing Tournament — 7 a.m. Saturday, April 14. Check-out at 7 a.m. from High Bridge, Bings Landing or State Road 100 Bridge. Check-in at Hurricane Patty’s by boat only from 2-4 p.m., under the State Road 100 Bridge. Benefits Second Chance Rescue. Entry fee is $50 ($55 after April 11) and $10 for junior anglers 12-years-old and younger. Applications are available online at fcsportfishing.com. Call 447-2353.
 

Old Kings Elementary Golf Scramble — 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Palm Harbor Golf Club, 20 Palm Harbor Drive. Registration from 7-8 a.m.; shotgun start at 8 a.m. Awards banquet, reception, silent auction and winner presentations with be from noon to 3 p.m. Prizes for the first seven teams are awarded. Book Sale — 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Flagler County Public Library, 2500 Palm Coast Parkway N.W. Most books are $2 or less; there will also be DVDs and CDs.
 

FFA Plant Sale — 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Matanzas Green House, 3535 Old Kings Road N. Hosted by the Matanzas Future Farmers of America. Annuals, perennials, vegetables and herbs all grown by students will be available for sale. There will also be a demonstration on how to plant patio gardens and raised bed gardens.
 

Walk for the Animals — 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway N.E. Benefits the Flagler Humane Society. Registration begins at 9 a.m., walk begins at 10 a.m. Call 597-5017.
 

Florida Farm Days — 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 14, and Sunday, April 15, at 7900 Old Kings Road. Presented by the Florida Agricultural Museum. The program will include historic demonstrations, food activists, re-enactors, organic growers, heritage livestock and poultry, trendy vendors, historic culture and music. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for kids.
 

Larry Fotte at Ralph Carter Park — 2-3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at 1425 Rymfire Drive. Palm Harbor Academy and Palm Coast Parks & Recreation would like to invite you in welcoming Pittsburgh Steelers Larry Foote to Flagler County. All youth ages 6-18 are encouraged to participate and in our agility training program.
