Kenneth Jenkins Jr., 25, of Bunnell, and Thevalian Watson, 30, and Freddie Giddens Jr., 31, both of Palm Coast, were arrested Sept. 6 in a chase involving the Ormond Beach and Bunnell police departments, and the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office. The men were charged with armed robbery.

According to a police report, the three men arrived at a Volusia County pharmacy before noon Sept. 6. Wearing masks, they forced two victims to the ground and bound their hands and feet with duct tape.

One of the workers at the pharmacy was forced to supply the three men with prescription pain medication.

Then, the suspects removed the surveillance camera from the wall. They threatened to kill a female employee if she said anything, according to the report. She said one of the suspects forced her to the ground and pointed a gun at the back of her head.

The suspects took the cash from the register and left.

An employee at a nearby hair salon noticed three suspicious men carrying bags of medicine and called 911. The employee was able to provide a description of the men and their vehicle.

A detective and crime scene investigator from Ormond Beach responded to the scene. Other detectives pursued the suspects’ vehicle and identified it. They called the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, and the suspects were apprehended as they tried to flee the vehicle near a wooded area at the end of Zoeller Court, in Palm Coast.

The three men, each with a criminal history in Flagler County, were booked Sept. 6, in the Flagler County Inmate Facility — all within eight hours of the holdup.
