Education Foundation Golf Classic raises $18,000

Golfers gathered Friday, Oct. 1, for the 21st-annual Flagler County Education Foundation Golf Classic, at Plantation Bay’s Club de Bonmont Championship Course.

The tournament, which was sponsored by Bright House Networks, drew 108 golfers and raised $18,000. Proceeds from the tournament will be used to provide teacher grants to enhance classroom learning, college scholarships for at-risk students and school supplies for students in need.

In addition to a day of golf, this year’s tournament included on-course tastings from Woody’s Bar-B-Q, Larry’s Deli, Wendy’s, Joe’s New York Pizza, beer donated by Budweiser and rum punch from Flagler Spirits.
