From wings and feathers to masks and hats, the ballroom at Hammock Beach Resort came to life Friday, Oct. 27, with the magic of mystery at the Leadership Flagler XIX Masquerade Ball.

Each leadership class is expected to plan and implement a community service project. The ball benefited two local causes: The Josh Crews Fund and Donate YourMachine.org.

The Josh Crews Fund is a memorial scholarship fund set up to continue his efforts to encourage and empower young creative writers in the community.

DonateYourMachine.org’s mission is to provide Flagler County students with computers, allowing them to have better opportunities in education.

“If we can provide money to children in Flagler County, hopefully we can get the kids to come back to Flagler County and work,” said Joe Rizzo, Leadership XIX graduate.

Leadership Flagler is a Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates program to develop leaders and maximize their ability and desire to become involved and help Flagler County thrive.
