The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Palm Coast man wanted in connection with the Wednesday evening shooting at a Palm Coast home.
Deputies have charged William R. Copeland, 20, of 29A Bunkerview Dr., with attempted homicide and shooting into a dwelling after shots were fired into a home at 49 Leidel Drive.
Deputies recovered three .32 caliber shell casings on the patio of the home.
The 11:30 p.m. shooting resulted in the homeowner being wounded in the upper left chest area. He was airlifted to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach with a non-life threatening injury. Four people were inside the home at the time of the shooting.
Investigators said the victims are acquainted with Copeland and had an altercation with him earlier in the day.
Anyone seeing Copeland is asked to contact the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office at 386-313-4911. Copeland is considered armed and dangerous, so no attempt at contact should be made him.
