A Flagler County School Board meeting and workshop will be held Tuesday, April 19, at the Government Services Building.
Workshop agenda items include
• Presentation on Belle Terre Elementary Putt Putt Golf and fitness area, provided by Stephen Hinson, principal of Belle Terre Elementary School.
Meeting agenda action items include
• Approve Future/Community Problem Solvers International Competition, in the amount of $ 16,150.
• Approve one full-time iFlagler 9-12 core subject area teacher, in the amount of $50,000.
• Request Board approval of Bid #11- 03: Belle Terre Elementary School Site Work: traffic redistribution and increased green space, in the amount of $400,000.
• Request Board permission to advertise changes to policy 511.2.
A discussion of the possibility of bringing a lawsuit against the state for insufficient education funding was slated by School Board member Colleen Conklin, as well, but has been tentatively rescheduled for some time in May. Conklin was recently fired from her other job becuase of the issue.
