A Palm Coast resident celebrated a remarkable milestone this week, turning 104 years old surrounded by friends, family and community members.

Grace Miller marked her birthday Tuesday at Sancerre at Palm Coast Assisted Living and Memory Care, where more than 50 people gathered to honor her life and legacy.

Palm Coast Mayor Mike Norris attended the celebration, presenting Miller with a letter from the city recognizing her longevity and impact on the community.

“Today we honor you, Grace Miller, and take great pride in celebrating this extraordinary 104th birthday with you,” Norris said. “May this special day be filled with laughter, love and the company of those who appreciate you most.”

Miller, who was born in Brooklyn in 1922, has lived a life her family describes as one defined by resilience, hard work and a sense of humor.

When asked about the secret to her longevity, Miller kept it lighthearted.

“Oh, I can’t tell you that,” she said with a smile. “I led a very good life.”

The celebration highlighted not just her age, but the lasting impression she has made on those around her over more than a century.

Miller also made it clear she still keeps up with the news and has her preferences.

“The Palm Coast Observer good paper good paper,” she said.

Family members and friends said the turnout reflected the strong relationships Miller has built over the years, with many gathering to celebrate not just a birthday, but a life well lived.
