Ormond Beach MainStreet is hosting the eight annual "Christmas in July" shopping and dining event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 19.
To be held in the downtown district — Granada Boulevard, from A1A to Orchard Street — the event will feature Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will be visiting businesses from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Over 40 of the city's restaurants and shops will have special offers and several stops will include kids' activities and crafts, according to a press release.
There will also be a scavenger hunt for the "Elf on the shelf" and participants will have a chance to win gifts cards to local businesses.
“We’re excited for another round of this little event that brings so much joy to our community and businesses," said Becky Parker, executive director of Ormond MainStreet. "We always feel it is our job at MainStreet to advocate for residents and visitors to shop small and support local, all year round, and this is one of our favorite ways to celebrate all the wonderful locally owned businesses here in the Historic Ormond District. We see new faces and families every year, as well as those who have participated since the beginning.”
A digital map will be made available at www.ormondbeachmainstreet.com/christmasinjuly. The website will also have Santa’s schedule, kids’ activities and a complete list of businesses and specials.
