The Flagler Palm Coast girls soccer team celebrated senior night with a 8-0 mercy-rule victory against Mainland on Friday, Dec. 13, at Sal Campanella Stadium.
The Bulldogs, a sophomore-dominated team, honored their two seniors — co-captain Erin Hughes and forward Nichole Dickinson — before the game.
Hughes went on to score the first goal of the game, her 10th of the season. She came into the contest leading the team in goals scored.
FPC improved to 7-4-1. They are scheduled to play three games before the holiday break. They visit Menendez (3-5) in St. Augustine on Monday, Dec. 16, host rival Matanzas (6-3) on Tuesday Dec. 17 and then face Spruce Creek (8-3-1) on Friday, Dec. 20.
