The Flagler County Sheriff's Office worked with a property owner to permanently trespass eight people unlawfully using the empty home.

The eight individuals all have criminal histories in Flagler County, including narcotics-related and violent crimes, according to a press release from FCSO. The unlawful occupants of the home at Black Hawk Place were removed and issued trespassing warnings on March 21.

There have been several overdose calls for service as well as an overdose death at the residence since it was taken over by the unlawful residents, the press release said.

The property owner was extremely cooperative in assisting FCSO with completing this goal, the press release said.

“We are cleaning up our community one residence at a time, Sheriff Rick Staly said, "whether we have to permanently ban you from your own residence or trespass you from someone else’s.”
