Local students to compete in World Languages Festival

The festival will take place at Seabreeze High School on Feb. 25.

The 2023 Volusia County World Languages Festival will take place on Saturday, Feb. 25, at Seabreeze High School, located at 2700 N. Oleander Ave.

The opening ceremony starts at 9 a.m. in the auditorium and includes a Parade of Flags and scholarship awards for Volusia County World language students.

Volusia County world language students will showcase their linguistic skills and cultural knowledge by participating in poetry and impromptu speaking competitions, art displays, talent show, world language karaoke, traditional world dress, Japanese cultural experience, photo booths, food booths and certamen, a global academic competition. Parents, family members and friends are encouraged to attend.
