Convicted felon arrested for possession of firearm, drugs

A female convicted felon was arrested at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 5 for possession of a firearm by a felon, as well as possession of methamphetamines, heroin and fentanyl.

The weapon was found when the woman and a male companion were spotted arguing in a vehicle by a patrol officer in the parking lot of a business in the 10 block of Kingswood Drive in Palm Coast.

The officer conducted a search of the vehicle after seeing used needles inside the car, according to the report, and found drug paraphernalia and a shotgun.

The officer ran the woman's name and discovered she was convicted of a felony lewd and lasciviousness charge in September 2007, the report said. The officer placed her under arrest and she admitted she had drugs stored inside her genitals.

The officer adjusted the handcuffs so the woman could remove the drugs, the report said, and then escorted the two to Flagler County's inmate facility.

An Orlando man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, hashish and marijuana, as well as resisting arrest, when he was pulled over for driving with an expired tag and suspended license.

The Flagler County camera systems alerted the patrolling deputy at noon on Nov. 6, and the Chevrolet Monte Carlo was pulled over in the 1200 block of West Moody Boulevard in Bunnell.

The man driving the vehicle initially refused to hand over any documentation, according to the charging affidavit, and became verbally aggressive. The responding officer called for backup, and upon their arrival, pulled the man out of the vehicle, the report said.

The man was the vehicle’s registered owner but had a suspended license. In a search of the vehicle, the officers 4.72 grams of marijuana, a grinder and a vape with liquid that later tested positive for THC, according to the report.

In addition to his possession charges, resisting arrest and a driving with a suspended license charge, the man also refused to sign his traffic citation forms, which is another misdemeanor added to his charging affidavit.
