A total of 37.68% of Flagler County voters have cast their ballots as of 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4. Early voting ends on Saturday, Nov. 5; Election Day is Nov. 8.

There are 95,306 registered voters in Flagler County, and 35,910 have voted.

"Our totals are a little bit down from our 2018 early voting totals, so hopefully people show up on these last two days to vote early, or they show up on Election Day," Supervisor of Elections Kaiti Lenhart said on Flagler Broadcasting's "Free For All Friday" radio program Nov. 4. "However, I did hear we may be having a coastal storm of some sort blowing through next week, so if you don't like getting wet, please plan to vote early, today or tomorrow."

Of the total ballots, 18,371 were cast by registered Republicans, 10,943 by registered Democrats, and 6,596 by people who have no party affiliation or are affiliated with minor parties.

There are 43,478 registered Republicans and 26,280 registered Democrats in the county, so the two parties are voting at similar rates: Approximately 42% register Democrats have voted, as have approximately 42% of registered Republicans voters.

Similar numbers of Democrats and Republicans voted by mail — 7,565 mail ballots came from Republicans, and 7,638 came from Democrats — but Republicans have out-paced Democrats in voting at early voting sites, where 10,806 Republicans have cast ballots, compared to 3,305 Democrats.

Flagler County's turnout so far has been higher than neighboring counties', Lenhart said. Turnout so far has been down statewide.

"Maybe people are just waiting until Election Day," Lenhart said. "We'll find out."
