The current store will stop accepting donations on May 16. All donations starting on May 16 will be accepted at the new location. The existing store on Granada Boulevard. will remain open to the public until May 31.
The soft opening for the new store will be on June 1, with the official grand opening to be on June 4 from 9-11 a.m. The public is invited to join staff and volunteers for music, special discounts, raffles, great prizes, and more.
“Our thrift store now has a new manager and a beautiful new space," said Dawn B Duncan, director of development. "We are poised to work with the community to generate even more support for our life-saving mission to rescue and rehome the most vulnerable animals in our area. Please consider donating your gently used items and visiting Rescue ReTail to hunt for treasures, knowing your purchase directly helps the animals at the shelter."
Store hours at the new location will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Sunday. For more information, visit http://www.halifaxhumanesociety.org/thrift-store/index
