Donal March was inducted into the Marine Corps in 1950 and went to bootcamp at Parris Island, South Carolina. March served in Korea in 1951 and 1952 as an amphibious tank commander. Following his tour in Korea he was stationed in Rhode Island, and served a period as a drill instructor.

After his honorable service in the Marine Corps, March returned to his hometown and was a fireman for several years. He changed careers and went into construction, eventually becoming a supervisor and project manager.

He moved to Palm Coast with his wife, Constance, in 1991. March has been a member of Marine Corp League Detachment 876, here in Flagler County since 1994, and formerly served as its chaplain. March will turn 90 years old this October.
