AdventHealth Daytona Beach has been recognized as a 2022-2023 Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News & World Report.

The hospital was rated the no. 1 hospital in the Deltona-Daytona Beach metro area.

In addition, the hospital was ranked “high-performing” for 2022-2023 in eight common procedures and conditions: abdominal aortic aneurysm repair; chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); colon cancer surgery; diabetes; heart attack; heart failure; hip fracture; and kidney failure.

The annual Best Hospitals rankings and ratings, now in their 33rd year, are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive quality care for challenging health conditions or elective procedures.

“This recognition is a well-deserved honor for the world-class physicians and nurses at AdventHealth Daytona Beach,” said Audrey Gregory, president and CEO of AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division – North Region, which encompasses Volusia, Flagler and Lake counties. “Our clinicians — along with the entire campus team — are committed to providing the Daytona Beach community with the most advanced clinical care in a setting that’s convenient and close to home.”

For the 2022-2023 rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals.

U.S. News evaluated each hospital’s performance using a variety of measures such as survival rates, complication rates, patient experience and level of nursing care. The Best Hospitals methodology factors in data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, American Hospital Association, professional organizations and medical specialists.
