A 34-year-old Bunnell woman faces multiple drug charges after Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested her late the night of Wednesday, Jan. 12.

“If you have plans of pushing drugs in Flagler County, you better plan on spending plenty of time in our jail, too.”

“If you have plans of pushing drugs in Flagler County, you better plan on spending plenty of time in our jail, too,” Sheriff Staly said.

Deputies saw the woman pull up to a home on Blueberry Street in Bunnell just after 10 p.m. She never left her SUV, and drove off a short time later. The area is known for illegal narcotics activity.

After following her SUV, deputies turned on their lights and sirens. The woman did not pull over immediately.

Once she did, deputies asked her about failing to come to a stop.

She appeared nervous as she responded, deputies stated.

That’s when deputies spotted a gray zipper pack on the floorboard. She told them it was a “change thing.”

Among the items discovered in the pack were two digital scales. After deputies asked the woman to give them a closer look, they saw small crystals on the scales. A field test gave a positive result for methamphetamine.

After taking the woman into custody, deputies conducted a search of her car and found two plastic bags with a total of 6.9 grams of methamphetamines.

A third bag of the narcotics was found in her wallet, containing 2.2 grams. One gram of cocaine was also found in a pack of cigarettes inside the SUV.

The woman now faces charges of possession of methamphetamines with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, legend drug possession without a prescription, tampering with evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest without violence and driving with a suspended license.
